Overview

Vashafaru

Located in the northernmost Haa Alifu Atoll, Vashafaru is a rare pearl that rewards those willing to travel a little further to reach it. Its shape is unmistakable: a perfect half-moon of tropical jungle embraced by a continuous beach and a spectacular white sandbank.

The waters of Vashafaru are well-known among divers for the "Vashafaru Thila," an incredible submerged coral block populated by majestic mantas and grey reef sharks. But even for those staying near the shore, snorkeling is exceptional, with a very high probability of swimming alongside huge sea turtles that peacefully frequent the lagoon.

Being far from mass tourism routes, Vashafaru boasts exemplary cleanliness and an atmosphere of absolute peace. It is the ideal island to reconnect with yourself, walking barefoot from sunrise to sunset.
